About myself and my work
I am drawn to a spirituality that is practical—one that shapes everyday life, while
leaving room for mystery, meaning, and wonder. I value discipline as devotion to
what nourishes our true nature.
My name is Esteban Botero Mejía, and throughout my life I have moved between different worlds that, in the end, have led me toward the same deeper truth. My path has been shaped by a search for healing, peace, harmony, abundance, and meaning—both in my own life and in the way I accompany others.
Over the years, I have found myself bridging very different contexts: from cooking ayahuasca in the Amazon rainforest, to studying psychology and completing a master's degree in Human Systems Intervention. From working with victims and former combatants in Colombia's armed conflict, to accompanying consultees in one-to-one therapeutic and self-development processes across Europe, the United States, Asia, Australia, and other regions. This recurring experience of walking between worlds has given me the capacity to help people open the mind and heart, embrace change, discover new possibilities, and heal.
For this reason, my work seeks a living balance between science and spirituality, between transcendence and what can be embodied in contemporary life—integrating Amazonian ancestral wisdom, Western academic knowledge, coaching, and the contemplative and energetic traditions I have studied through meditation and crystal healing in Buddhist contexts.

What I hold to be true
I like spirituality to be practical—something that has a real effect on everyday life, something that allows us to dream and to go beyond our own limits.
I like everyday life to be filled with magic, meaning, and mystery, without losing our roots: the practical, the concrete, the real between us.
I like discipline as a form of devotion to the things that truly nourish us. It is there that we come to know Nature-God.
A truly scientific mind is open and curious—analytical, thoughtfully critical, and humble before the vastness of what it does not yet understand.
Ethics, Safety & Scope
On facilitation
Traditionally, the training of a traditional healer was a long and highly rigorous path—usually taking decades to fully mature. Because of this, even with 16 years on the medicine path, I do not facilitate medicinal plant ceremonies. The only ceremony I currently facilitate is temazcal.
On navigation
Learning to navigate expanded states of consciousness is like learning to navigate the ocean. It requires the right tools, understanding how to move within the spiritual ecosystem, and enough training and self-knowledge to respond to whatever arises along the way.
After 16 years of attending ceremonies on average every two weeks, I have developed enough knowledge and capacity to support and train people in depth in how to navigate these altered states—without necessarily being the one who facilitates the ceremonies themselves. I remain in close relationship with several traditional healers with whom I work hand in hand.
